Common Core Assessment {Freebie}

I created these Common Core Reading & Math Assessments for my grade level team. The standards assessed are those that we felt should be mastered in the first and second quarter. Third quarter coming soon! Feel free to download and use them with your class!
UPDATE: All four quarters are now included in this download!

  1. I love this! Thanks for sharing! We do Common Assessments for our grade cards, but these would be great for in between and for the things that don't make it onto our grade cards, but are still Common Core Standards. I can't wait to print it out at school. I just saw that you were my newest follower and now I'm yours. :)

  30. Hi! I shared the common core assessments with my grade level at my school and they absolutely loved them! We would like to use them to assess our children for report cards. Our only problem is that we grade every 6 weeks instead of quarterly. Is there any chance that you could send us the word document form of this so we could edit it to make it work for us? You have no idea how much we would appreciate this! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and also for sharing it with us! :)

    1. By the way, we are willing to pay for this if we can edit it to meet our needs. Our grading period ends in a couple of weeks so we are desperate! Please let me know if this is possible! Thank you so much!!

  31. Thank you! I teach preschool- no common core- but we are trying to rework our progress reports to show that we are aligned with k common core. This will really help!

  32. Thank you so much for creating these tools and making them free...you don't know how much it means to kinder-teachers just starting w/common core! You are awesome!!!

  33. Thank you for creating these assessments! They are user friendly and have saved me a lot of time. I just thought I would share a funny story about the Language Arts Assessment 3. K.L.5A Sourts common objects into categories. I showed the pictures to my student and read the directions ~Cross out the object that does not belong. Tell me why.~ The student crossed out the penguin and said, "Because he lives in the snow and the others don't." I had to laugh, cause the student is right. We live in Hawaii, we have birds, bears, and buses filled with students.
    Hope this make you smile too!

  36. My kindergarten team LOVES this wonderful resource! The only problem is that our state requires us to do additional testing that we would like to include in it as well. Is there any way to download it as a word document so we could tweak it a little to fit our school? We would be so grateful!

  39. I love how condensed your assessment is. I have a question. Is this the only assessment that you use for each marking period? My co-teacher sometimes feels the need to have a set number of items on our assessments. If you could e-mail me back. Thanks! Dawn My e-mail is parker0573@sbcglobal.net

  41. An auto today is no more an extravagance, on the grounds that with the quick paced environment that we are in, having your own one of a kind method of transportation is in reality vital. However, since not everybody was honored with a silver spoon stuck in their mouths, just few could get their hands on the most stupendous and the most recent models of autos today. check cashing
